Luxury Hotel Installs Stylish E-Motive Displays from Janus Elevator Products

High resolution text and multi-media LCD displays enhance 6-Star St. Regis

Hauppauge, New York (November 16, 2007) – Starwood Hotels has installed 96 E-Motive LCD displays at its luxury 6-star St. Regis Hotel and Residences in Singapore.  Available from Janus Elevator Products in the United States, the high resolution text and multi-media LCD screens will be in place when the building opens in December of this year.

E-Motive supplied St. Regis with 78 sets of its PT9001 high-resolution text displays.  The LED serial controlled text indicator system signals floor legends, directional arrows and status messages for passengers waiting for, or traveling in, the hotel elevators.  The Text Display Series offer many format options such as scrolling or double row text and customized messages for specific users.

In addition, eight sets of FS0840 8.4” LCD dual screens and ten sets of FS1040 10.4” LCD screens were also installed in the building.  These multi-media displays provide passenger information including traveling direction, date and time, status and specific user messages and pictures.  Customized content can include floor directories, TV feeds, video clips, animations, still ads, stock market information, and fixed or variable text messages.  Building personnel have complete flexibility to program desired content through easy to use MS Windows® based software.

Boasting almost 300 oversized hotel rooms and 173 apartments, St. Regis is set in the heart of uptown Orchard Road with excellent access to shopping and entertainment.  Twenty-seven elevators serve the 23-story mixed use building.
