Hinges
A number of Car Station hinge arrangements are available.
From standard heavy duty telescoping hinges to a dual action
"strap" hinge (unique to Monitor) as shown. The dual action
hinge allows the panel to be opened at a variety of angles
for easy and convenient access during installation and service.
This dual action hinge allows access even in the tightest conditions.

Backing Plate
All Car Stations (unless otherwise specified) manufactured at
Monitor Controls include an aluminum backing plate. All buttons
and components in the Car Station are mounted directly to the
backing plate, including the stainless steel or Muntz Car Station faceplate.
The backing plate strengthens the fixture and allows the
fixture faceplate to be re-finished without service interruption.

Pre-Wiring
All Car Stations are available pre-wired to a terminal strip as
per our customers wiring diagrams and instructions. Pre-wiring
can save valuable and expensive field labor hours and increase
the efficiency and speed of an elevator modernization project.
Most manufacturers include pre-wiring as an expensive option.
At Monitor Controls, pre-wiring is standard.
